pet insurance Surprise

How do I choose the best pet insurance for my pet?

Considerations:

  • Age
  • Breed
  • Presexsisting conditions
  • Activity level

Choosing a company

Factors to consider when choosing a policy:

  • Deductible
  • Yearly premium price
  • Payment to hospital options
  • Preexsisting condition coverage
  • Limits of coverage

There are some companies that are free to use as a comparison tool to help evaluate policies side by side. The company we recommend is called Pawlicy: www.Pawlicy.com

Understanding how Pet insurance works

Most companies reimburse expenses, and do not pay up front. Currently there are a few companies that will authorize payments and pay the hospital directly.

A yearly deductible does often exist similar to human health insurance.

Preexisting conditions are also a factor and every company has different policies on these. It is recommended to speak directly to the company about exactly what is considered preexisting and what is covered.

What not to do:

  • Ask your Veterinarian to omit or change medical records for the purpose of getting coverage
  • Try to apply for insurance in the face of an emergency (Coverage is not activated immediately)

They spayed my puppy. She came home on time and was playing. She has recovered very well. I recommend them. My beautiful Bella is pictured here.

Took our girl Koda here tonight to be put down and all the staff were beyond amazing. They took such good care of us and our girl. I’m extremely thankful for them. One of the hardest decisions I’ve ever had to make and they walked with me the whole way and showed so much love towards Koda and my son and I.

From the moment I walked into this vet, i was heard & seen, as well as my baby girl. They did everything they could to ensure she was getting the care she needed. They were able to get my girl into surgery for a blockage the same day & left nothing uncovered so that we would understand. Unfortunately due to my baby girl having to have her quality of life compromised, I had to decide to euthanize her. They updated me through every bit, sent pictures, loved on her & made her as comfortable as could be & were compassionate & just as heartbroken as us. Thank you to this vet hospital & staff, you guys are truly amazing. Thank you for trying to save my girl, I highly recommend this Vet for any needs of your beloved furry pets 🤍
