The Importance of Pet Vaccines & Physical Examinations

The cornerstone of your pet’s wellness, is a complete physical exam and consultation with you! Our doctors and technicians make every effort to answer any and all questions you may have about current health issues and possible treatment options. Often, we can help prevent diseases entirely, just by ensuring that your pet has received appropriate vaccinations and preventative care. We recommend that healthy adult dogs and cats visit us once a year. Puppies, kittens, senior pets, and pets with health issues or illnesses need more frequent checkups.

We recommend baseline blood work for pets over the age of five. Dogs and cats age much faster than people, so significant changes in your pet’s health can happen in a short time. We will work with you to create an individualized wellness program, including a vaccination and prevention protocol customized specifically to your pet and his or her needs based on risk factors, the doctor’s physical examination findings and your input.

Our focus during a well pet exam is on customizing vaccination protocols, discussing weight, evaluating the physical examination and making sure your pet does not have any abnormalities that are of concern. We also use this time to talk about maintenance care like ear cleaning, dental care and dietary issues.

Great place. Open 7 days a week and affordable. The care they gave my sphynx after Westbrook made a mistake was great. It will be the only vet I use from now on. Thank you guys.

I had to bring my pup Persephone in for her final vet visit. The staff was extremely kind and mindful of how hard this was for me and allowed me to stay by her side until her final moments. No one rushed me or made me feel like I was in the way as they placed the catheter while I hugged her. I can’t thank this team enough for how well the took care of Persephone. You all were truly incredible.

Dr Beth Engelschall DVM has been my vet for years and I have trusted her with the care of my most precious fur babies. She has done surgery on two of my pups and I literally drive from Tempe to Surprise to continue care with her. The new clinic is beautiful and bright and the whole staff is outstanding. Dr Engelschall is a talented and cutting edge surgeon. Do yourself a favor and check out this clinic.

They really helped me in a time of need to put down my old dog Bear. He was a tough situation and they handled it so well. They cared for him so well and tried their best to take the upmost easiest way to put him down. Highly recommend them and will be back with my other animals.
